The little white storm that refuses to sit still.
You’ll spot this one bouncing around the edges of wetlands, swamps, and puddles like it's got a hundred things to do —and none of them involve staying calm. The Pied Water-Tyrant is not here to relax; it’s here to shake its tail, twitch its wings, and remind every other bird who's boss of the mud.
The male looks like he washed up in bleach and added some sleek black accents just to stay fashionable. White body, black wings and tail —simple, bold, and somehow always a bit damp.
The female? She's not as loud. Slightly more camouflaged, definitely more composed. Probably watching him flail around from a bush thinking, “Why did I sign up for this chaos?”
They live where the ground is soggy, the plants are squishy, and the bugs are plenty. And their favorite hobby? Constant tail flicking —for no reason other than drama.
Conservation status: Least Concern (LC). Which suits him just fine, because he’s absolutely certain he’s the main character of the wetlands.
